Yash M. Vasavada Dr. Yash M. Vasavada

Yash M. Vasavada has received the Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and the B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication from L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. Since 2016, he is with Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), where he is currently an associate professor. He leads the communications, signal processing and machine intelligence (CSPMI) Lab at DA-IICT. Before joining DA-IICT, he worked at Hughes Networks systems (Hughes) in Germantown, Maryland, USA, where he contributed to the system engineering design of several SATCOM systems such as THURAYA, ICO, Inmarsat, Jupiter, Echostar, MEXSAT, Globalstar and OneWeb. He has published several journal and conference papers and has been awarded ten U.S. patents. He was also the recipient of the Hughes Corporation Doctorate Program Fellowship Award. His research interests lie in the statistical theories of communication and signal processing.
