Assistant Registrar (Academics and ERP)

Position Reports: Registrar Job Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Position Summary:

The Assistant Registrar (Academics and ERP) will be working for the implementation and management of the University’s new ERP system to be deployed, ensuring smooth transition and functioning of academic, administrative, and financial processes through the ERP platform. The position demands collaboration with internal stakeholders, ERP vendors, and technical teams for process automation, system development, testing, training, and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support ERP implementation, operations, and enhancement across academic and administrative functions.
  • Coordinate with ERP vendors, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements, develop modules, and customize solutions.
  • Manage academic, non-academic, finance, HR, examination, and admission modules as per University requirements.
  • Conduct user training, workshops, and provide technical support to staff, faculty, and students.
  • Resolve functional and technical issues related to ERP operations.
  • Coordinate data migration, integrity, and security of student, staff, and administrative data.
  • Facilitate project documentation, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • ERP testing, feedback collection, and system updates.
  • Maintain compliance with IT policies, data protection norms, and audit requirements.
  • Support for liaison between the University departments and ERP vendors for timely delivery and resolution.
Essential Qualifications:
  • MCA or Degree in Computer Applications / Information Technology / Computer Science / Management Information System or equivalent in a full time/regular student from a recognized University.
  • More than ten years’ experience in a senior position for developing digitized academic processes in the institutions of higher education/universities.
  • Hands on experience in implementing, developing and managing ERP as an employee of the university.
  • Experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder coordination, system testing, and user training.
Desirable Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Academic ERP in the Universities.
  • Overall understanding of academic processes including admissions, examination, student lifecycle, finance, HR modules for digitization for these processes.
  • Project management skills, ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
