
B.TECH. SCHOLARSHIPS AT DAU
(With effect from 2025-26 batch)
The institute has enhanced the Merit category and Merit cum Means scholarship from the academic year 2025-26. In Merit scholarship, program-wise toppers from their second semester onwards will be awarded a full tuition fee reimbursement. In Merit-cum-Means scholarship, program-wise eligible students will be awarded 70% and 50% fee reimbursements based on their income criteria. The 50% band has been added to make it beneficial to many more students.
The Scholarships will be awarded based on SPI obtained in each semester. The number of Scholarships will be limited to 33 (Thirty-Three only) for a batch. The regulations on the award of Scholarships are as follows:

• The Institute may consider financial assistance for deserving students who are in serious financial constraints.
Other conditions
- The student should have been registered for the semester subsequent to which the scholarship is awarded and should have paid the tuition and other fees in full by the given due date.
- The student should PASS in all credit courses and should not have any backlog and/or disciplinary case(s) being initiated or recorded against her/him.
- The Scholarship is awarded based on the performance of the student in a semester and the student has to meet the eligibility criteria in each semester to be eligible for the award of the Scholarship.
- If a student withdraws from the program before completion of studies or her/his admission is terminated by the Institute or she/he is imposed any punishment/penalty due to indiscipline, the Institute has the right to recover the total scholarship amount paid to her/him.
- The students applying for Merit-cum-Means Scholarship should submit the Last two years’ Income Tax Returns of the parents, the Last six months’ Electricity Bills, Last one year’s bank statements of the parents and Form 26AS.
- The final decision on the merit cum means scholarship will be based on an assessment of the family income, expenditure pattern, and assets, followed by a personal visit to the family residence/business by an independent audit agency.
- The awardee should not be the recipient of any other financial assistant / fellowship / scholarship from the Govt. of India / State Government / any other private agency.
- The selected student for the award has to submit an undertaking stating that she/he will be bound by the regulations of the Scholarship Scheme.
- If the student submits false document(s)/information, he/she will be liable for disciplinary action.
