Advertisement for a JRF Position under DST-GUJCOST Robotics Project

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for a temporary position to work at DA-IICT on a SUPPORTING R&D IN EMERGING FIELDS OF S&T ON STATE PRIORITY AREAS UNDER STI FUND, sponsored research project financed by the Department of Science and Technology: The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (DST-GUJCOST) (Govt. of Gujarat), India. The project details, requisite qualification & experience etc., are given below:

Title of the Project: Prototyping Dog Jacket for Real-Time Rescue Operation Inspired by Robotics Technology

Position and Fellowship

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 post
Rs. 30,000/- p.m. (All-inclusive for NET/GATE candidates)

OR

Rs. 22,464/- p.m. (All-inclusive for non-NET/GATE candidates)
Essential Qualifications BE/BTech/ME/MTech (Electronics & Communication/ ICT/Electrical/Computer Science and Engineering) or Equivalent with 60% marks.
OR
MSc in Electronics/Computer Science/Physics/ICT with 60% marks and Industrial/Research experience will be given preference.
  • CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE qualified. Criteria may be relaxed for deserving candidates.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Programming in C,Python, JavaScript
  • Linux, ROS, DevOps, Azure, CI/CD Operation
  • Development of Electronic/IoT devices
  • Experience of design, evaluation, and customer negotiation
  • Field robotics development experience
Period of Appointment: This post duration is for Three months
Job Description

You will be in charge of developing advanced technology of robotics software/hardware(motion planning, task planning, SLAM, navigation, perception)that will be used for disaster mitigation.
