Dhirubhai Ambani University (formerly known as DA-IICT) invites applications for full-time faculty positions from highly motivated individuals with a demonstrated record of independent, high-quality research and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student community at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Current Openings

The University is actively recruiting faculty members at the Assistant Professor and Associate Professor levels in the following broad disciplines:

Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence | Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

Communication Engineering and Artificial Intelligence | Electronics and VLSI Design

Statistics and Mathematics | Humanities and Social Sciences | Interaction Design

We seek candidates who are passionate about advancing knowledge through impactful research, fostering innovation, and contributing to a vibrant academic environment through teaching, curriculum development, and student engagement.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria (Applicable to all disciplines except Interaction Design)

Candidates must satisfy the following minimum requirements:

  1. Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline, with a First Class or equivalent grade in the preceding degree(s), and an excellent academic record throughout; and
  2. Demonstrated research excellence, evidenced by high-quality publications in reputed journals and/or leading conferences in the relevant field.

Assistant Professor

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree, strong research potential, and a demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates with postdoctoral research experience will be given preference.

Associate Professor

Applicants should have a minimum of six years of post-Ph.D. experience in teaching, research, or relevant professional practice, of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor in a higher educational institution or an equivalent position. Candidates are expected to have an established research profile, demonstrated through high-quality publications, externally funded research projects or grants, and experience in supervising doctoral students.

We also welcome applications from candidates with a strong research background and relevant industry experience.

The application should include the following documents:

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

The CV should provide comprehensive information on:

  • Educational qualifications, beginning from Class XII (or equivalent), including institution name, year of completion, marks/CGPA, and area of specialization, where applicable;
  • Academic, research, industrial, and professional experience;
  • Publications in journals, conferences, books, patents, and other scholarly outputs;
  • Research projects, grants, awards, recognitions, and professional activities;
  • Contact details of three referees who may be approached to provide letters of recommendation in support of the application.

2. Research Statement

A concise statement describing:

  • Research background and areas of expertise;
  • Key research contributions and outcomes;
  • Ongoing research activities;
  • Short-term and long-term research plans;
  • Potential opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and external funding.

3. Teaching Statement

A statement outlining:

  • Teaching philosophy and pedagogical approach;
  • Prior teaching and mentoring experience;
  • Foundation, core, and advanced courses the candidate is qualified and interested to teach;
  • Proposed elective courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise;
  • Contributions to curriculum development, experiential learning, or educational innovation, if any.
