Essential Qualifications |
- M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, ICT, Data Science, AI, ML, or equivalent, with at least 60% marks and GATE qualification.
- OR, B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, ICT, Data Science, AI, ML, or equivalent, with at least 60% marks and GATE qualification.
- OR, M.Sc. in Data Science, AI, or ML, with at least 60% marks and valid CSIR-UGC NET or IIT JAM, or those with industrial/ research experience.

Desirable Qualifications |
- Deep understanding of AI/ML models for forecasting tasks.
- Good programming skills in python.
- Strong command of oral and written English.
- Strong mathematical and statistical background.

Period of Appointment: |
This position is temporary, with an initial appointment for one year, and it is extendable for up to two more years based on satisfactory performance. This does not confer any right for the candidate to claim an extension or absorption at DA-IICT. However, according to the available guidelines, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program at DA-IICT. |
Job Description |
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collect the satellite data for sea level anomaly and significant wave height data under different weather circumstances from ISRO, Space Application Centre, Ahmedabad.
- Quantifying the uncertainties in the projections of significant wave height and sea level anomalies available from CMIP6 data during the observed period (2015 – 2023).
- Developing an AI/ML-based model to correct for the uncertainties in the CMIP6 dataset.
- Generating the probabilistic long-term forecast with high reliability for the significant wave height and sea level over the Indian Ocean using the modified projections of CMIP6 datasets.
- Produce high-quality journal and conference publications.
- Perform other duties related to the project as assigned.
