Dr. Dubey will talk about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The NEP2020 introduces major reforms in higher education to make it more holistic, flexible, and multidisciplinary. It emphasizes a four-year undergraduate degree with multiple entry and exit options, enabling students to earn certifications, diplomas, or degrees at different stages. The policy promotes academic flexibility, credit transfer, and a multidisciplinary approach through the establishment of Multidisciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERUs). It aims to dismantle rigid subject boundaries, encourage research and innovation, and enhance digital learning. The Higher Education Commission of India (HECI) will be established as a single regulatory body, ensuring quality standards while granting autonomy to institutions. NEP 2020 also prioritizes equity, inclusion, and global collaboration, aiming to position India as a leading knowledge hub.
