Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) warmly welcomed the new batch of students for its postgraduate and PhD programmes through a thoughtfully curated three-day Orientation Programme held from July 16 to 18, 2025, at its campus.

The diverse range of postgraduate programmes includes MTech with specialisations in Machine Learning (ML), Software Systems (SS), VLSI and Embedded Systems (VLSI & ES), and Wireless Communication and Signal Processing (WCSP). We also welcomed students for our MSc programmes in Information Technology (IT), Agriculture Analytics, and Data Science. Furthermore, our MDes students will be pursuing specialisations in Communication Design (CD) and Intelligent User Experience Design (IUxD).

The orientation began with a welcome address by Prof. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, Director General, DAU. The programme was graced by the presence of Mr. Siddharth Swaminarayan, (Executive Registrar), Dr. Maniklal Das (Dean - Faculty Affairs), Dr. Bhaskar Chaudhury (Dean - Academic Programmes), Dr. Yash M. Vasavada (Dean – Research) and Dr. P. S. Kalyan Sasidhar (Dean – Students). The orientation was also attended by faculty members, staff, and the parents of the students.

During the three days, the students were given an overview of the university’s vision, academic culture, and student support services. A visit to the Resource Center (RC) was also organised, which helped to familiarise them with library services and learning resources. The students were also given a tour of the advanced research facilities, including labs such as the Speech Research Lab, Smart City Lab, Robotics Lab, and other labs on the university campus. The programme concluded with a wrap-up session and campus facility visits to different departments and activity centres.
